The last week of school is always crazy but having a husband out-of-town on top of everything= this-mama’s-going-crazy! Camping Day yesterday, Crafting Day today (note to self- glitter is a curse word), Awards Day/Party tomorrow, report cards, paper work, and so on. Tay has been a GREAT sport as I’ve dragged her around town for the last few days. Now when we get in the car she says “Mommy shop?” As I was having a god-help-me moment this afternoon over technology Devin sent this picture of Tay that he took last weekend. It made me laugh. 🙂
Monthly Archives: May 2011
Okay… as you can tell from my sluggish blogs recently, it’s been a CrAzY month. SO ready for summer.
I’m plotting out my summer activities… I’m forming a mommy playdate group (yay!), Tay and I are doing a mommy and me dance class, I have a mound of books I can’t wait to read, Devin and I are planning a family vacation (super yay), and I have tons of crafts I can’t wait to do. Not to mention laying out by the
baby pool, staying up past 9 late, and relaxing with a margarita. Awww summer!
Tay is ready for summer too. She loves her popsicle and her big shades. Haha!
Sorry I’ve been MIA. Super crazy last few weeks of school. Field Day AND Field Trip this week. Yikers! Also, I had an AWESOME girly weekend last weekend. Post pics later.
Here’s my little performer. 🙂 She only sings in the corner alone. This is the only video I have of her singing Elmo’s World. Not the best. She usually get down with it using her microphone, until someone looks at her. I’m starting to see a shy side. Sweetness.
BTW~ I wanted to make a little bow the other day. Someone taught me how to make one with my fingers but I couldn’t remember how. I found this and thought it was totally cool to make a bow with a fork. Thought I would share. 🙂
Being a mommy is the best job in the world. There was a time I didn’t think I was ever going to be a mommy, but now I know the wait was God’s plan. I am blessed with a beautiful, healthy little girl and in a few years hopefully a bother or sister for her.
It’s been the best weekend! I love the hubs so much. I knows after being married to me for 5 years he knew to ask what my picture of the perfect Mother’s Day would be. I told him a quiet, peaceful day with family~ no restaurant craziness. So, on Saturday Devin and Tay planned a picnic. They went and got subs and we went to the park. Tay gave me my Mother’s Day gift~ A Kindle! While Devin and Taylor played I laid on the quilt reading a book. It was so peaceful and perfect! Afterwards we went out for yogurt~ yummo! When we came home Devin did yard work (if you know how Devin feels about yardwork~ this was a great gift) while a propped my feet up.
A perfect picnic with my Taylor Tot
We thought Tay was reading her books while Devin and I were finishing up lunch. Apparently Taylor got in my bag and grabbed my credit card and phone. Hmmmm! I wonder what she was ordering?!?
Taylor Bird and Mommy Bird made yummy bird nest for the grandmothers on Mother’s Day. Tay loved putting the eggs (jellybeans) in the nest.
Mommy: “Taylor, Mommy wants to take a picture of the cute bag you made me. Hold it and say cheese.”
Mommy Rules~ A cute bag Taylor made me and put one of my gifts inside
A cookbook that Taylor’s school put together of some awesome recipes
A flower arrangement Taylor made me. The vase was made from Taylor’s old shoe.
A wind chime Tay made for me at Sunday School.
Happy Mother’s Day to my fabulous Mom too! Our Mom’s Day gift to one another is to spend a girly day in June just the two of us.
