Taylor never complains about me fixing her hair or dressing her until THIS morning. Really?!? You had to pick Easter Morning. She wanted to wear her swimsuit, one sandal, and an Elmo sock with her black kitty shoes. Now she would have been a sight. Luckily we all made it out of the house in one piece AND dressed for church this morning.
Mommy and Taylor Tot before church. Still not happy she can’t wear her outfit.
Walking into church~ Tay telling me what the Easter Bunny is going to bring her.
Here’s Tay’s Easter Basket~ Puzzles, books, bubbles, a hat, Hello Kitty container with bunny marshmallows, and a kitty kitty that purrs, moves, and meows.
The Easter Bunny came after church because Tay slept in a bit. 🙂
Finding the Easter loot
Went straight towards the marshmallows
Petting her new kitty
Daddy: “Okay Taylor… take one”
Taylor: “I did take one Daddy~ one handful” Haha!
Playing with her puzzle
Showing Daddy how she can put her new puzzle together all by herself
Daddy reading Tay’s new Elmo book~ very intense~ I don’t think she ever blinked. Haha!
However, here is the true meaning of Easter…
We hold so close to our hearts
The cross where Jesus died
But so much more than the blood-stained cross
Is that Jesus came back to life
The stone’s been rolled away
The tomb lay open and bare
They looked for Him, and then the angel said
That He is no longer here
Oh what joy they must have felt
To see Him just once more
To eat with Him, to drink with Him
To receive Him back as Lord
So much did He accomplish
Through His death upon the cross
And in His rising from the dead
He reconciled us back to God
Nothing else could bridge the gap
That sin had wrenched apart
Now we can freely go to God
And receive Christ in our hearts
