A Fabulous Weekend in Pictures

So blessed by this weekend~ Sunny and Warm!

Friday night Devin had to work late so I met a dear friend I haven’t seen in forever a long time.  She has identical twin boys that are just a couple of days apart from Taylor.  Tay refers to them as the babies.  If she only knew.  🙂  We went shopping at our favorite store, Target.  The whole time the babies giggled at one another while us mommies shopped.  It was the easiest shopping trip ever.  Then we headed over to Chick-fil-a and that was a different story.  Trying to order food for an army, keep babies happy, and eat too was quite entertaining to people around us.  Especially when Keara dropped her tray and I spilled yogurt all over the floor.  I’m sure I heard cheers when we left.  I tried to get a good pic of the kiddos in the play area, but they didn’t stay still for even a 10th of a second.

On Saturday, we went to visit Mom and Tay brought her Gammie flowers.  She had foot surgery Friday and is doing great.  🙂

Saturday afternoon we went to the park.  Actually we went to two parks, but the first park didn’t have any parking and drove to our 2nd favorite park.  Lovn’ the weather!!!!

Saturday evening Devin wanted pizza.  Yay to not cooking!  Tay is playing this game that she refuses to eat unless it’s yogurt.  So here is a pic where Tay did not eat anything.  She fed her pizza and pasta to her monkey, Bozo.  How can she not like pizza?!?  And, yes a drink is in each hand.

Sunday, after some  wonderful praise and worship at Liberty Hill Church, we went to another park to see Devin’s parents for a picnic.  Taylor Tot had a blast!

What a wonderful weekend!  So blessed!

Taylor Tot Making Her Animal Noises

Not a great video of the two of us.  It was a long day; however, here’s a video with Tay making her animal noises.  Devin’s favorite is when Tay does a dog.  My personal favorite is her cat sound.  I wish I had her do a whole lot more.  I swear she can do the whole farm.  🙂

Crockpot Recipes

I’ve been looking around for some yummy, healthy crockpot recipes. I’m tired of the only four recipes I know how to do in the crockpot. After surfing around I came to this website… Hillbilly Housewife. Not too crazy about the name; however, after snooping around I found some great recipes that I can’t wait to try. What I love is Susanne, the creator of the Hillbilly Housewife, finds recipes that are low-cost and healthy! Love! Here is the link to the crockpot recipes.

This Momma needs a Valium with a shot of Tequila

Yikers! So… earlier post Taylor Tot hasn’t been feeling too well but was back to old self by yesterday evening… or so we thought. In the middle of the night Tay’s fever reached an all time high. We couldn’t take her to urgent care (iced in) so we had to wait for a morning appointment. I really thought it was an ear infection so little did I know after a check-up (Tay doesn’t like people with white coats), strep test (this Momma had to hold her down AND hold her head back), flu test (swabs up the nose), x-rays (telling a one year old to sit still with arms in the air is not on my list of fun), blood test (in the arm), and two shots later they finally figured out its pneumonia. 😦

Way to doc.

Regrouping at Chick-fil-a with Pop before drive home from doc.

Sick Baby

Taylor Tot woke-up this morning with her first fever.  Devin and I have been very blessed we haven’t had to experience Tay with a fever yet, but at 5:00 this am we looked like lunatics running around in circles asking each other “what do we do?”.  The worse part is we were iced in so it made panic that much worse.  We ended up calling after hours care and I talked to a sweet nurse that insured me the world wasn’t coming to an end and kids can get fevers and still end up living long healthy lives.  Thank you sweet nurse lady.  I guess I was pretty hyped up because she asked me if Taylor was my first.  🙂

After a day of snuggling on the couch, eating a bland diet, and catching up from some loss sleep from the night before, Taylor Tot finally came around~ Thank you Jesus!

Here are some pics I took this evening:
